2007 CROSSTOWN UNITY RUN Saturday, August 4, 8:00 am Home Page Volunteers To Register Race Information Results Contact us 2007 SPONSORS The Crosstown Unity Run was conceived in 2002 as an event with two primary goals. Goal #1 was to enhance sportsmanship and unity between the sports teams of the two Lawrence high schools. Goal #2 was to raise money to benefit the cross-country and track programs at Free State and Lawrence High Schools. Proceeds from previous Crosstown Unity Runs have helped pay for new uniforms, a team tent, sweats, a javelin throwing area, and other needs. The 2007 Crosstown Unity Run The Crosstown Unity Run is a point-to-point 5 mile run, beginning at Free State High School, and at Lawrence High School. The run is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to take part. This year's event will to include a 5 mile run and a 2 mile run.
